Mrs. Blanche Breckweg of 621 South 26th street has received word of the death of her brother, John Cletus Davis 58 in a Harvey Ill hospital Thursday night. He had suffered a cerebral hemorrhage four weeks ago. Born at Hillsboro, he spent his childhood in the communities of Hillsboro, Mellott and Newtown. His parents were the late Daniel Davis and Eva Davis Miller of Mellott. He had operated a restaurant at Harvey and was a member of the Methodist Church. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Julia Davis; three sisters, Mrs. Breckweg, Mrs. Eliza Parker of Linden and Mrs. Verna Irvin of Long Beach, Calif. And a brother, Harry Davis of Kansas City, Kans. Services will be at Harvey and burial at Wingate.
